BEING INDIE by Eeva Lancaster is a no-nonsense guide to Indie Authors, whether beginner or experienced, you will benefit from reading this book. I wish it had been available when I began my career as an Indie writer, things would definitely have gone better for me with such a guide in hand..

BEING INDIE is chock-full of information to keep authors on the straight and narrow path they must tread, especially once they have proudly typed, “The End” on their finished manuscript. Newbies basking in the afterglow of their accomplishment will be surprised to discover that at that point, their journey as an Indie Author has only begun. But I won’t give out spoilers or presume to tell you about BEING INDIE myself, Ms Lancaster does a masterful job of doing that. So, buy the book and find out what becoming an Indie really means. If you are an Indie, or aspiring to become an Indie, you will be glad you did.

A must read for those that want to publish a book for the first time, or their twentieth. If your self published or not, this book contains valuable information you will to be successful. Thank you Eeva, this book has saved me heaps of time, and heaps of money.
Succinct and information, Eeva Lancaster outlines the steps for taking your finished work from manuscript to published work. She then guides the writer through the maze of creating and maintaining a distinct author brand for promoting and selling your books. A great reference for all independently published writers.

I purchased the e-book, but will soon be purchasing the paperback as well.
This book demystifies the many aspects of self-publishing and presents them in a no-nonsense approach that I found refreshing. Other books might exist on the subject, but I have yet to read one that offers this level of clarification. Ms. Lancaster says it as it is, without sugar-coating it, and gives the indie author a realistic direction to follow, saving a considerable amount of time, money, and headaches. The information presented is thoughtful, well written, and more useful than most books twice its size. I would highly recommend “Being Indie” to newbies, as well as more established authors looking to refresh their skills in this ever-changing industry.
This is one of the best books any writer can read before venturing into the publishing industry. Who do you want to hand your baby over to? Are you willing to trust just anyone to publish your hard work? Read this before making any decisions about your journey in the publishing world. Matter of fact, to the point advice that I wish I'd read years ago. Ms. Lancaster also gives you the tools and a plan of action to be the champion of your work. A must read for all writers, whether published or not.
This work held so much needful information it made my head spin. I have been query agents for a year. I haven't eon the lottery in the literary world. I saw this book advertised on Twitter. It was an easy read. It gave a no holds bared picture of what an Indie writer needs to do to make a good book. The honest was refreshing. It was a excellent measuring stick to evaluate where you are in the writing process. I will keep querying with the hope lightning will strike till I save enough to publish my baby the right way.
Just... Wow! Eeva really nails it with this concise, comprehensive walk-through of just what it takes to be self-published. While following these guidelines won't, in and of themselves, make you a successful author, you don't even begin to have a shot at being at if you *don't* follow them! Eeva's advice is very down-to-earth and straight-forward, and full of common sense. As well, it's backed by her own experience not just as a writer but as a graphics designer and promoter. She explains very clearly the steps you need to take (and why!) from the minute you type "The End" through editing, cover art, publishing, marketing... everything you absolutely need to consider if you want to really do this right, is right here in this book! 
Being Indie is a fantastic how to guide that every Indie author should read. I only wish I’d read it two years ago before I self-published because it definitely would have saved me a lot time and effort trying to figure it all out on my own. Highly recommend! If you’re planning on self-publishing, pause and read Being Indie before you do!
